IS 102989 BETTER THAN 103008? ?

BEST ANSWER: The main difference between these two is that XOM102989 is an extended performance oil so it will perform better than the XOM103008 at high temperatures, has better start up protection, extends engine life and allows a maximum of 15,000 miles between oil changes. The XOM103008 allows a max of 10,000 miles between oil changes but does not perform as well as the XOM102989 at high temps, etc.
